I have done many things in my life, but the last was absolutely amazing. All this began around of 4 years ago when I was 18. I had just finished the high shcool when I came to check a list in witch said that I must to turn up in the military stadium for make my military service, I thought that this was near of Santiago, but for me the place choosen was located very, very far of here.
When I told to my family this thought that I was crazy, but when I explain whith more detail they understood.
When I arrived and met my mates I had thought that they'd be more frienship but was absolubly different, just had took a few weeks for can strike up and begin a new lifestyle.
For other side I never thought stay in a place so beautiful ans mistics, it had been the best desicion and I sure that I was never degret.
well this is one of the experience that I was enjoyed and I'd like repeat again and do things that I couldn't realize, but I'd go wih friends or somenone, but doesn't matter now.

What an incredible experience!Where did you do your military service?
You seem to have a good understanding of past simple, present perfect and even past perfect.
Things to think about:
just had took a few weeks
for the other side = on the other hand
it had been the best decision
